About Me

Kate Birch brings over 20 years’ experience of working in senior and executive People and Culture roles in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She understands the challenges that an ever-changing world of work presents to organisations – including navigating the impacts of hybrid working, harnessing advances in technology and AI, and supporting shifting demands in workplace skills. Amid these challenges and opportunities, Kate helps build connected teams that can communicate clearly, share knowledge, be innovative and realise their potential for productivity and success.

Coaching and Facilitation

Coaching

Kate believes that coaching doesn’t necessarily need to be confined to the office. Discovering our true selves out in nature, strolling side by side with her clients, truly unlocks their potential. Our beautiful country offers us the perfect backdrop for these transformative experiences.

Her coaching style is friendly, supportive, and warm; quickly establishing a high trust environment with her clients.  This approach, combined with her active listening skills and positive but challenging questioning, assists leaders in navigating obstacles and unpacking complex situations. 

Sessions commence with personalised centring practices, fostering a conducive environment for reflection and learning. Each session culminates in actionable takeaways, supported by coaching notes, action plans, and additional resources as needed. 

Facilitation

Kate has collaboratively partnered with diverse organisations across various sectors.  As a Facilitator she has delivered workshops and programmes to support:

  • Wellbeing and Resilience 
  • Psychological Safety 
  • Team development  

Her approach integrates positive psychology theories and tools into the programmes and workshops she designs, prioritising participant wellbeing and sustainable growth and success, with a focus on enhancing wellbeing for her participants.
